Basketball Recap: Jalyn Connor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lab University Prep Regional over Winston Salem Christian

Lab University Prep Regional has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They received a blow on Saturday as they fell 80-65 to the Winston Salem Christian Lions. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (59), the Kings still had to take the loss.

Lab University Prep Regional's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalyn Connor, who posted 18 points. Connor's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. James Wood was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Lab University Prep Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Winston Salem Christian, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Lab University Prep Regional will face off against Charlotte Performance Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
