Flag Football Game Preview: El Dorado Golden Hawks vs. Yorba Linda Mustangs

The El Dorado Golden Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Yorba Linda Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. El Dorado's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

El Dorado came into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of El Modena by a score of 14-12 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Golden Hawks have suffered since October 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, Yorba Linda never let their opponents score on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 27-0 victory over El Modena. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

The win (which was Yorba Linda's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.5 points on average over those games. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

El Dorado might still be hurting after the 25-0 defeat they got from Yorba Linda when the teams last played on September 10th. Can the Golden Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
