Volleyball Recap: Bishop Fenwick Beats Mercy Mcauley for Their Third Straight Victory

Bishop Fenwick had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Mercy McAuley Wolves as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Falcons were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Wolves, so the Falcons were just returning the favor.

Bishop Fenwick walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

Aubrey Blanton and Devin Carter certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Blanton had ten digs and two aces, while Carter had 12 digs. Blanton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Bishop Fenwick's record now sits at 16-6. As for Mercy McAuley, they dropped their record down to 7-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Bishop Fenwick and Mercy McAuley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Falcons will face off against Shroder Paideia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 803). Meanwhile, Mercy McAuley (ranked 151st) will meet Taft (ranked 766th) at 3:30 p.m. on the 18th.
