If Sudan was riding high fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Petersburg last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sudan fell just short of the Nazareth Swifts by a score of 9-8 on Saturday. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sudan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaibryn Ornelas, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Ornelas has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Sudan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Nazareth, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
