Basketball Recap: La Plata Warriors vs. Chopticon Braves
La Plata lost against Chopticon back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The La Plata Warriors took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chopticon Braves.
Chopticon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brian McMahon led the charge by en route to 16 points and three steals. What's more, McMahon also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Bryson Fenwick was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight rebounds.
La Plata's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Chopticon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.
La Plata didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-55 victory against Thomas Stone on the 17th. As for Chopticon, they have also already played their next contest, a 79-56 loss against Great Mills on the 18th.
