Basketball Recap: Chamblee Comes Up Short

Chamblee lost against Woodward Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell 69-56 to the War Eagles. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the War Eagles 24-17 in the first quarter.

Leading Woodward Academy to victory were Jarvis Hayes Jr. and Myles Hayes. Hayes Jr. almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards, while Hayes shot 44% from the field en route to 23 points and eight rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Hayes Jr. now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Bentley Lusakuneo, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Chamblee has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Woodward Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Coming up, Chamblee will head out on the road to take on Dunwoody at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Woodward Academy, they will take on Grayson County at 10:00 p.m. on Friday.
