Softball Recap: Manning Monarchs vs. Crestwood Knights
Manning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell victim to a rough 17-11 defeat at the hands of the Crestwood Knights. Even if Manning couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
For Crestwood's part, Zaire Ransom was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4. Ransom has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanna Dixon, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
Manning's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Crestwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Manning does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crestwood also has no future games currently scheduled.
