Basketball Recap: Timpview's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Springville came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Timpview, but Lina Ballin wouldn't allow it. The Timpview Thunderbirds secured a 46-42 W over the Springville Red Devils on Tuesday thanks in part to Ballin, who went 7 for 15 en route to 18 points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Livi Eyre was another key player, putting up three points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

Springville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Millie Thompson, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Bella Esplin, who posted nine points and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Timpview and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Springville, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Timpview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-66 defeat against Wasatch on the 10th. As for Springville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-55 loss against Salem Hills on the 10th.
