Baseball Game Preview: Hug Hawks vs. Lowry Buckaroos

Hug hasn't had much luck against Lowry recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Hug Hawks will welcome the Lowry Buckaroos at 10:00 a.m. Hug has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Hug came up short against Dayton on Saturday, falling 18-1. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lowry unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of North Valleys by a score of 6-5.

Michael Heikkila made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Hug's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lowry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hug has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lowry struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
