Baseball Recap: South Bend Adams Takes a Loss

South Bend Adams extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They came up short against the South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Tuesday.

As for South Bend Saint Joseph, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Ten seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For South Bend Saint Joseph's part, they got a great performance from Jacob Snyder as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Brett Mason was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Washburn, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Looking ahead, South Bend Adams will square off against Homestead at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, they will face off against Mishawaka Marian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
