Soccer Game Preview: Miami vs. Grove

The Miami Wardogs will face off against the Grove Ridgerunners at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Miami and eight for Grove.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Miami's offense. They lost 5-0 to Summit Christian Academy on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Grove also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Catoosa on Friday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Catoosa are ranked 14th).

Grove's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Miami couldn't quite get it done against Grove in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Wardogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
