Basketball Recap: Altoona-Midway Gets the Win

If Chetopa wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Altoona-Midway, they should've done a better job of containing William Stackhouse. The Altoona-Midway Jets breezed by the Chetopa Hornets to the tune of 63-29 on Tuesday thanks in part to Stackhouse, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 17 boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 30 times he's played.

Kieran Foster was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Altoona-Midway's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Chetopa, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Altoona-Midway will be taking part in a tournament against Southern Coffey County at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
