Baseball Recap: North Valleys Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Valleys can now relate to. They fell 10-6 to the Lowry Buckaroos on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buckaroos earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Caden Birch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Clarke, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

North Valleys has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-8 record this season. As for Lowry, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

North Valleys does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lowry, they will challenge Churchill County at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Buckaroos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Greenwave have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
