Baseball Recap: Green Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Green had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Whiteoak Wildcats 5-4. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Green saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Knapp, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Blake Smith was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Green is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Whiteoak, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Green will square off against Newark Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Green Wave will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. Whiteoak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
