Football Recap: Polytechnic Skates Past Francis Parker with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Flintridge Prep, Polytechnic was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They breezed past the Francis Parker Lancers to the tune of 52-22. The Panthers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 46-7).

Francis Parker's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Spencer Perry, who rushed for 130 yards and one score, and Chris Nguyen, who rushed for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The victory got Polytechnic back to even at 1-1. As for Francis Parker, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Polytechnic will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Designs Watts at 3:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Francis Parker, they will face off against St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Lancers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
