Christ Prep Academy (Kansas City, Kan.) beat Jayhawk Linn (Mound City, Kan.) 37-0 thanks to dual threat quarterback
Tanner Metzdorf, who threw two touchdown passes while running for two more.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Metzdorf in the first quarter, the Patriots led 21-0 at the half.
Christ Prep Academy grew its lead to 31 points entering the fourth quarter. CPA scored two times in the third, including once on a field goal by
Gabe Jones.
Coming into the game the Kansas City school had allowed 22.2 points per game this year.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Patriots came away with a 23-14 victory.
The victory was a step in the right direction for Christ Prep Academy, which was coming off a 40-20 defeat at the hands of Rock Creek in its previous game. The loss was the third in a row for the Jayhawks. The victory ended Christ Prep Academy's two-game losing streak.
