High school football Top 25 composite rankings

Southern California in the spotlight this week as No. 5 Centennial and No. 6 St. John Bosco square off and No. 3 Mater Dei faces No. 21 Rancho Cucamonga.

A total of three new teams enter this week' Top 25 Composite Rankings. But the major focus will be on a few huge showdowns in Southern California.

The semifinals between No. 5 Centennial and No. 6 St. John Bosco, and on the other side of the bracket, No. 3 Mater Dei versus No. 21 Rancho Cucamonga.

MaxPreps, PrepNation, USA Today and High School Football America have all released updated national rankings this week. We've thrown them into the pot to create a composite look at where high school football’s elite stand. For a complete look at each media outlet's picks, click on the links below:


Only schools recognized by two or more media outlets are eligible for inclusion in the composite rankings. Teams were assigned a score of 40 for each media outlet that did not recognize them as part of their Top 25, rewarding teams that received consensus acclaim.
