Basketball Recap: Arts & Tech Sets Scoring Season-High Against Detroit Community

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arts & Tech). They enjoyed a cozy 51-37 win over the Detroit Community Hurricanes on Tuesday. Given Arts & Tech's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Detroit Community is ranked 525th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arts & Tech has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Detroit Community, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arts & Tech has already played their next match (against Mt. Clemens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
