Baseball Game Preview: Forbush Falcons vs. East Surry Cardinals

The Forbush Falcons will square off against the East Surry Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forbush is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

East Surry will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Forbush extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Falcons came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Cardinals.

Luke Hutchens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Colton Moxley was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Forbush: the team is 10-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise.
