Softball Recap: South Vermillion Comes Up Short

South Vermillion lost against West Vigo back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Vikings, falling 21-2.

South Vermillion saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmaly Nickle, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

South Vermillion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Vigo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, South Vermillion is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Parke Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Vigo, they will take on Bloomfield in a tournament on Friday.
