Baseball Recap: Gibraltar/Washington Island's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Gibraltar/Washington Island lost against Kewaunee back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings fell just short of the Storm by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Vikings' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gibraltar/Washington Island fell to 3-1. As for Kewaunee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibraltar/Washington Island will host Mishicot at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kewaunee, they will challenge Peshtigo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something the Storm will no doubt try to take advantage of.
