Recap: Cardington-Lincoln Pirates vs. East Knox Bulldogs
A well-balanced attack led the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates over the East Knox Bulldogs in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Cardington-Lincoln walked away with a 58-45 victory over East Knox. Given Cardington-Lincoln's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while East Knox is ranked 605th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cardington-Lincoln can attribute much of their success to Kinstin Henthorn, who scored 11 points. Lydia Hess was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Cardington-Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for East Knox, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardington-Lincoln will take on Centerburg at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Centerburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for East Knox, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Gilead at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
