Basketball Game Preview: Moorhead Spuds vs. Osseo Orioles

Moorhead is 0-10 against Osseo since January of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Moorhead Spuds will head out on the road to challenge the Osseo Orioles at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Moorhead's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Moorhead beat Sauk Rapids-Rice 69-64.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Osseo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They managed a 75-71 victory over Coon Rapids on Wednesday.

Osseo's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Moorhead, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Moorhead couldn't quite finish off Osseo in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 84-82. Can Moorhead avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
