Baseball Recap: Apple Springs Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Slocum last Monday, Apple Springs came back down to earth. The Apple Springs Eagles lost 7-1 to the Centerville Bulldogs on Friday. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Apple Springs saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristen Eddins, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Eddins has posted since back in April of 2024.

Apple Springs' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Centerville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Centerville beat Apple Springs by a score of 11-4 later that day.
