Softball Recap: Grundy County Takes a Loss

Grundy County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-0 to the Forrest Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Grundy County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Celia Tate, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Grundy County's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Forrest, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Looking ahead, Grundy County will venture away from home to face off against Marion County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Forrest, they will host Christ Presbyterian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
