For the first time this season, Edison will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Tracy Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. Edison will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Edison is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Armijo to the tune of 55-18 on Friday. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Royals are ranked 647th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Devin Rasmussen produced another solid effort throwing for 306 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 30 yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (163.2). Kailan Beaver was Rasmussen's top target, picking up 110 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Edison, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Antwone Beattie, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Edison didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lavon James and Francis Taamu.
Meanwhile, Tracy ended up a good deal behind Pleasant Valley last Friday and lost 35-16. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Edison will need to focus on slowing down Brady Brown, one of several Tracy players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 238 yards and one touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. A healthy portion of Brown's aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Jeno Lawhorn.
Edison's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Tracy, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.
Everything came up roses for Edison against Tracy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-0 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
