Basketball Recap: Enka Comes Up Short

Enka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the A.C. Reynolds Rockets at home by a 41-27 margin. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Rockets are ranked 66th).

Addie Long continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for A.C. Reynolds, going 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points and eight rebounds. Long has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adalyn Wilkinson, who posted five points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.

Enka's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for A.C. Reynolds, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Enka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-51 loss against Asheville on the 29th. As for A.C. Reynolds, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-52 defeat against Cherokee on the 29th.
