It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pueblo West can now relate to. They fell just short of the Niwot Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Cyclones' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Pueblo West actually scored more points across those five sets (106-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Loss or not, Pueblo West got some senior leadership from Bricelyn Baudino and Jillian Millirons. Baudino had 17 digs and two aces, while Millirons had 11 digs.

Leading Niwot to victory were Sienna Knight and Harper Kellner. Knight had eight digs, while Kellner had 13 digs and one block. Kellner is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 22 every time she's taken the court this season.

Pueblo West's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Niwot, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-6.

Pueblo West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niwot, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Rampart on the 13th.
