Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Tuscola's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Tuscola walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out Casey-Westfield 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Tuscola has posted since February 2, 2024.

Despite the loss, Casey-Westfield still got an impressive performance from Hayden Parcel, who went 8-for-17 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Parcel's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Clement, who posted seven points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.

Tuscola is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. With the loss, Casey-Westfield broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-8.

Coming up, Tuscola will take on Dieterich at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dieterich comes in on four and Tuscola on six. Casey-Westfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
