Hixson is 0-6 against Red Bank since September of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Wildcats will face off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Hixson put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Chattanooga Central 41-8. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly 33 points.
Hixson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adryoun Ad Stewart, who rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Ad Stewart also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss). Rikeyon Burney was another key rusher, gaining 76 total yards and a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hixson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Red Bank didn't have too much trouble with Signal Mountain on Friday as they won 34-15. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Lions' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.
Hixson better focus on containing Jacolbi Salley and Austin Jones as the pair were huge in Red Bank's win. Salley rushed for 137 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries, while Jones rushed for 56 yards and one TD. Those 137 rushing yards gave Salley a new career-high. Cayden Loveless did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 92 receiving yards.
Hixson's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for Red Bank, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.
Hixson was taken down by Red Bank 35-3 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Logan Mcginnis (who rushed for 40 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 64 yards and a pair of TDs on only five passes) won't be suiting up this time.
