Baseball Game Preview: Rock Springs Christian Academy Eagles vs. Heritage Hawks

The Rock Springs Christian Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Heritage Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Springs Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Rock Springs Christian Academy nor Flint River Academy made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Eagles fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Rock Springs Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam McGinnis, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. McGinnis has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hawks last Monday. Heritage came out on top against Harvester Christian Academy by a score of 4-1.

Asher Durham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Robby Knight was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Jud Divine also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Rock Springs Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
