The final uncommitted and unsigned prospect in high school basketball's Class of 2017 is providing some late drama in the recruiting cycle.

MaxPreps All-American Brian Bowen of La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.) has enrolled at Louisville according to a report by Jeff Greer of the Courier-Journal.

A 6-foot-7 guard/wing pegged as the No. 18 overall prospect in the 2017 class by 247Sports, Bowen was long regarded as a Michigan State lean. In recent months, he's also been connected to Creighton, DePaul (where his coach at La Lumiere joined the staff), Oregon and Texas.

Out of nowhere, the Cardinals gained steam in recent days. A dozen recruiting analysts have predicted Bowen to Louisville in the 247Sports Crystal Ball since Wednesday.

As a senior at La Lumiere, Bowen averaged over 22 points per game while leading the Lakers to a 29-1 record and Dick's Sporting Goods High School Nationals title.

Bowen has an official announcement set for Saturday at 4 p.m. EDT. He is one of just two uncommitted and unsigned senior Top 100 prospects remaining.
