Basketball Game Preview: Genoa-Kingston Cogs vs. Woodstock North Thunder

The Genoa-Kingston Cogs will face off against the Woodstock North Thunder at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Genoa-Kingston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Genoa-Kingston turned things around against North Boone on Tuesday. They strolled past the Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 62-44.

Meanwhile, Woodstock North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 90-41 loss at the hands of Johnsburg. The Thunder were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-27.

Woodstock North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Genoa-Kingston, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Genoa-Kingston didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Woodstock North in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 51-46 win. Will Genoa-Kingston repeat their success, or does Woodstock North have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
