Softball Recap: Northwood Comes Up Short

Northwood fell victim to Chatham Charter and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 11-0. The Chargers just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Jasmine Wichowski spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and seven unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Makenna Lux was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases.

Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Chatham Charter, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

Northwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chatham Charter, they will welcome River Mill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
