Soccer Game Preview: San Jacinto Valley Academy vs. Desert Mirage

The San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Desert Mirage RAMS at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. San Jacinto Valley Academy knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Desert Mirage likes a good challenge.

Desert Mirage better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when San Jacinto Valley Academy really get things going. San Jacinto Valley Academy was the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Hamilton on Friday. Considering Wolves have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Desert Mirage's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Cathedral City on Thursday. Desert Mirage never let Banning onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the RAMS's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 683rd, while the Broncos are ranked 170th).

The win got Desert Mirage back to even at 5-5-3. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, their record is now 9-7.
