Basketball Recap: Crossover Prep Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Crossover Prep couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 68-67 to the Varnum Whippets.

Crossover Prep's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Varnum, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Looking ahead, Crossover Prep will challenge Roff at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.93 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Varnum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
