Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolverines had just enough and edged out the Raiders 1-0 on Friday. The game was the first time the Wolverines have beaten the Raiders on their field since March 15, 2016.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6.

Coincidentally, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial and Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will both be playing McAllen Memorial the next time they take the field. The Wolverines will host the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
