Basketball Recap: Lodi Academy Comes Up Short

Lodi Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Stockton Christian Eagles 67-40. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-54 back in December of 2024.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landen Lippert, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Simon Rich was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Even though they lost, Lodi Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 13 consecutive matches.

Jayden Chamblee was his usual excellent self, earning 44 points for Stockton Christian. Chamblee's evening made it 21 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Corbin Moore, who had seven points.

Lodi Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Stockton Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Lodi Academy has already played their next game, a 52-16 win against Don Pedro on the 6th. As for Stockton Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-49 victory against Humphreys Able Charter on the 6th.
