South Loup has no trouble against Sandhills Valley

South Loup can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They put the hurt on Sandhills Valley with a sharp 55-33 victory. Given South Loup's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Sandhills Valley is ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Sandhills Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cooper Layher. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Isaac Goosey was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

The win makes it two in a row for South Loup and bumps their season record up to 11-2. As for Sandhills Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

South Loup will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mullen. Sandhills Valley will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Twin Loup at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th.
