If D'Evelyn wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Mary's Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Al Hernandez. The Wildcats came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Hernandez, who had 22 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 18-25, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, D'Evelyn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chelyn Kwon had 22 digs and four aces. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Kwon.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Mary's Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for D'Evelyn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, St. Mary's Academy will challenge Peak to Peak at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for D'Evelyn, they will face off against Colorado Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
