Volleyball Recap: Red Cloud Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Red Cloud extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 21-9. Everything went their way against the Silver Lake Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Josie Faimon paced Red Cloud's offense, picking up 14 kills. Faimon got some help from Kayla Faimon and her 27 assists. Aiva Rust controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Silver Lake, their defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since October 29, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Silver Lake lost, don't look at Sophie Schmidt. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and one assist. Schmidt is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Red Cloud has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Sandhills/Thedford on the 1st. As for Silver Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller on the 1st.
