Basketball Recap: Hartington-Newcastle Victorious

After losing to Plainview the last time they met, Hartington-Newcastle decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats managed a 37-33 win over the Plainview Pirates on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Plainview still got an impressive performance from Kenzie Doerr, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Doerr a new career-high in assists (four). Adalyn Dummer also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Hartington-Newcastle is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Plainview, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
