Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Key Sharks vs. Bell Bulldogs

Cedar Key hasn't had much luck against Bell recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cedar Key Sharks will challenge the Bell Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Cedar Key is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. The game between them and Saint Francis Catholic didn't end well, with Cedar Key falling 39-24.

Meanwhile, Bell didn't have quite enough to beat Bronson on Monday and fell 45-43.

Cedar Key will have to contain Lindsey Collett as she made an impact in Bell's last game. She posted nine points. That's the most points Collett has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellana Stalvey, who put up six points and four steals.

Bell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cedar Key, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Cedar Key came up short against Bell when the teams last played back in November, falling 47-38. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bell's Maddie Smith, who had 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
