Basketball Recap: Strong's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Strong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearden Bears. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Strong's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Bearden, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strong and Junction City will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Junction City will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Strong surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bearden, they will take on Smackover in a tournament on December 27th.
