Baseball Recap: Whitehall Gets the Win

Whitehall won the last time they faced West Michigan Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots, sneaking past 5-4.

Justin Jensen was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Whitehall: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-18 otherwise.

Whitehall's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-18. As for West Michigan Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Whitehall didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-4 defeat against Spring Lake on the 30th. Hopefully West Michigan Christian paid attention to the Vikings' game: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
