Volleyball Recap: Battle Mountain Takes a Loss

Battle Mountain lost against Yerington back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Longhorns lost 3-0 to the Lions. The shutout was out of character for the Longhorns seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-6, 25-6.

Battle Mountain's offense was headlined by Eimilie Johnson and Kamila Farias, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Jazmin Johnson and her ten assists.

Battle Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Yerington, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Battle Mountain is set to square off against their familiar foe Pershing County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Yerington will take on rival North Tahoe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
