Softball Recap: Yucca Valley Takes a Loss

Yucca Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 13-10 to the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mighty Arabs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Jayda Cross and Alyssa Ramos stepped up to the plate in a big way. Cross went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI, while Ramos went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Ramos is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Baleigh Sheperd was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Yucca Valley's record now sits at 4-9. As for Coachella Valley, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Coachella Valley will welcome Banning at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Yucca Valley will be paying especially close attention to the Mighty Arabs' contest: after the Mighty Arabs face off against the Broncos, they'll take on Yucca Valley again at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
