Recap: Rainier Christian Mustangs vs. Muckleshoot Tribal Kings
After a string of three wins, the Rainier Christian Mustangs's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 42-29 defeat to Muckleshoot Tribal. Rainier Christian has struggled against Muckleshoot Tribal recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Rainier Christian saw an underclassman step up: Nola Russell scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Luci Ramey, who scored seven points.
Rainier Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Muckleshoot Tribal, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rainier Christian will face off against Puget Sound Adventist at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Muckleshoot Tribal, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
