Volleyball Recap: Alyssa Gaudet's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mandeville over Dutchtown

After flying high against Christ Episcopal School on Thursday, Mandeville came back down to earth. The Skippers fell 2-0 to the Dutchtown Griffins on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Skippers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Several Skippers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alyssa Gaudet, who had seven digs and one assist.

Mandeville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Dutchtown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Mandeville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Thibodaux on the 12th. As for Dutchtown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against St. Thomas More on the 13th.
