League recap: Rockville climbs in standings with win

Rockville was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in Montgomery County 2A/3A. The Rams beat Northwood 51-13 earlier in the week.

Damascus and Clarksburg played the closest game in the league this week, with Damascus eventually emerging with a 13-12 victory.

Watkins Mill's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joseph Maddox threw for 22 yards and Gradi Tshilombo had 25 yards receiving. On the ground Daqwan Hill chipped in 12 yards. Jaron Woodyard helped Watkins Mill's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.

The Wolverines' dynamic duo of Maddox and Tshilombo proved to be unstoppable against Springbrook, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Woodyard helped Watkins Mill's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.

Wheaton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nick Boumboulis has thrown for 180 yards this season, while Teddy Boumboulis has 4 catches for 111 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Watkins Mill takes on Rockville. Kevin Watson's team is in fifth place, while Kevin Bernot's team is in third place.

Einstein fell to Paint Branch 54-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
